The Lions Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication was held at St. John's Parish Church, Keynsham, Bristol, on Sunday 14th October 2012

While the Church bells rang out over Keynsham to a fine sunny afternoon, District Governor Lion Harry Smith, headed the 105W Lions family Thanksgiving Service at St. John the Baptist Church, Sunday 14 October 2012. Organised by Keynsham Lions Club, the service was attended by the Mayor of Bath, Councillor Andrew Furse; Mayor of Swindon, Councillor Mick Bray; Mayor of Lydney, Councillor Bob Berryman; Deputy Mayor of Devizes, Councillor Jim Gudgeon; Chairman BANES, Councillor Rob Appleyard and the Rt. Hon. Jacob Rees-Mogg, MP North East Somerset.

The 130 strong congregation and choir was led by the Rev. Dr. Stephen M'Caw. 

Flags were paraded by the Air Training Corp, the Army Cadet Corp and the 1st Keynsham Scouts. A reading was by Keynsham Club President Lion Ken Hawker, an Anthem by the Church Choir and a solo of the Welsh National Anthem. District Governor Lion Harry read the Oath of Service and advised the congregation that pledges had been received of 11,700 towards Lions Clubs International Foundation. 

First Vice District Governor Lion John Mounty concluded the service with Wesley's Exhortation. 

Afternoon tea was served in the adjacent Church Hall.
