| It's a stark fact. By the time you finish reading this page, one child somewhere in the world will have gone blind. | |
| One child goes blind every minute | |
| Childhood blindness is only one part of the global vision crisis. If nothing is done, experts say that the world's blind population could double from 37 million to 74 million by 2020. | |

|
| Lions will not allow, 'nothing to be done' because true to their commitment to be 'Knights of the Blind', Lions launched Campaign SightFirst II to prevent this tragedy. CSF II has exceeded the campaign challenge goal of $200 million to continue and expand the extraordinary work of SightFirst, Lions worldwide programme to combat preventable blindness. | |
| This
campaign through a three year period from 2005 to 2008 and
beyond to 2011 will embrace contributions from not only Lions
but also members of the public in the form of personal gifts.
Please send donations to your local Lions Club.
New gifts and/or pledges may be made to LCIF for CSFII credit until 31st December 2008. After that date donors may designate their new gifts to the SightFirst programme but not for CSFII. Previous pledges can be called in until 2011. |
|
| Your local Lions Clubs are playing a vital role in fund raising for Campaign SightFirst II. If you are able to contribute, for as little as £3.00 you could save the sight of one person. | |
