Golf Tournament. (To
be held with Porthcawl Club Charity Golf Day Friday 8th June 2012)
Registration
for delegates will be open from 15.00 to 17.00hrs.
Carvery
Meal costing £17 per person is optional and may be pre-booked
for 18.45hrs. The
carvery will be served in a reserved section of the Dining Room.
Host
night for this year will be free of charge.
Dress casual. There will be
cabaret entertainment and music for dancing in the main Convention room. This will provide the opportunity to meet with friends and
guests.
Registration
opens at 08.45 and will remain open until 10.00hrs.
Tea/coffee
will be available to purchase on arrival at the serving area.
Lunch
at £10 must be pre-booked. Hotel requires lunch numbers in advance
and lunch will not
be available to be purchased on the day.
Business
Session will table a number of outside speakers to address us
including Dr. Mike and Mrs. Melanie Davies.
Melanie has been described by Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE. as a
person 'who is always positive' and 'shows infectious optimism,
confidence and gritty determination, even in the face of seemingly
insurmountable adversity'. Melanie
in 1980, a pretty 15year old was involved in a motor bike accident that
left her paralysed from the chest down, Melanie was later involved in
another serious road accident and has also been diagnosed with cancer.
Melanie has appeared on Breakfast TV, in film and has lectured in
the U.S.A. Melanie has also written a book. If that was not enough
Melanie has also competed for Wales in athletics.

Our
International guest will be, Second Year International
Director Lion Per K. Christensen, from MD 106 Denmark.
A member of Gug Lions Club since 1992.
Director Christensen previously served in the military and is
currently owner of a wine import company.
Director Lion Per will be the keynote speaker during the
afternoon session.

The
Partners Trip will be to Tredegar House, which is in Tredegar
Park, Newport, 30 minutes from the Convention Centre.
The House which is normally closed at this time of the year will
be opened for a private viewing by our partners.
Tredegar House is a 17th Century, Charles II Mansion.
The Ancestral Home of the Morgan family.
Lunch will be included within the total cost of £10.50,
tea/coffee will be charged for as extra.
Banquet and Ball in the Hotel, 19.30
For 19.45hrs
£27.00 per person. The menu is available with the booking form.
There will be music for dancing. Dress
formal. Carriages 12.30
Sunday 18th March:
Meet
with our guest , Director Lion Per at 10.15hrs for an informal question
and answer session.
